a very cold day

Airiel played Debonair Social Club on Dec. 7th. I left work an hour early, fell on some ice in front of a big line of cars walking next to a gas station. It was cold as fuck too. I mean, really damn cold. I didn't have my car back from the shop yet and I needed a ride. Mark Gertz picked me up, and while the band set up, to make a long story short, I was told I couldn't play and tore down my gear. I had to watch the boys play the show without me, and play well they did. Scary Lady Sarah bought me and Gertz a kamikaze shot and damn was it good. I'll have to have another one soon. They're so refreshing. I wish I was able to play this show, but I guess I'll have to wait till next year at the Empty Bottle.
